Annual meetings of the Commission are hosted by Members in rotation, or at the Commission Headquarters in the event that a Member does not wish to host an annual meeting.
The Commission consider matters including: (a) Interpretation or implementation of the Convention and measures adopted pursuant to it, such as deciding upon a total allowable catch and its allocation among the Members; (b) Regulatory measures for conservation, management and optimum utilisation of southern bluefin tuna; (c) Matters which are reported by or entrusted to the Scientific Committee prescribed in Article 9 of the Convention; (d) Matters which may be entrusted to the Secretariat prescribed in Article 10 of the Convention; (e) Other activities necessary to carry out the provisions of this Convention.
